What this is
A dynamic book of technology based digital inclusive learning for the 21st Century Learner written at the level of English fluency of young adults in the United States of America. Each workshop is interactive, structured with an emphasis on engaging the learner in a thirty minute setting with enhancements that can engage the interested learner for much longer, structured but not of the teacher-student paradigm or terminologies of the recent past, and context, context, context to support the application of skills and learnings with immediate success!
Written by librarians in what would today perhaps be referenced as "minimally invasive education" by Sugata Mitra. A concept rooted in the culture and value of libraries going by other names and titles over the centuries.
The total contents are currently in BETA with the Los Angeles Public Library at one of its branches on a restricted access PBWorks platform. The BETA has been successfully received with a variety of learners in ages, English language proficiency, and formal education as evidenced in our SurveyMonkey results. These workshops have laid the groundwork upon which professional librarians can advance further learnings and enrichments. We are very excited to expand access to the content!
